Bhuvaneshwari case : MAA filed case against Tamil daily

A popular tamil news paper(Dinamalar) published the news that actress Bhuvaneshwari who got arrested recently for alleged prostitution has revealed the names of some other actresses involved in the flesh trade. The newspaper went ahead by publishing the names and photos of the actresses.

South India Artists Association is furious on the issue and decided to file defamatory case against the newspaper that had listed the name of actresses. The association has now approached Chennai city police commissioner T Rajendran to take action against the daily.

Tamil actor Sarath kumar, representing the Movie Artists Association said that, "Unless, the news paper has a strong evidence for its publishing, it has to face law suits against it to be filed by MAA. In addition to this South Indian Artists Association also decided to file a defamatory case against the news paper management for hurting their feelings. The daily newspaper will have to face a big issue for publishing unconfirmed news."
