Still Telangana activists are continuing the attacks on film shootings. Today jr NTR’s Brindhavanam shoot was progressing in Khursijha college, old city in Hyderabad. Some activists belonging to Telangana Rastra Samithi made protests in front of the location and tried to break in into the location. 
Ravi Teja and Allari Naresh-starrer 'Sambho Shiva Sambho' is readying for a release on the occasion of Pongal. Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, the film is directed by Tamil filmmaker Samuthirakani, who also directed the original 'Nandodigal'.

CNN-IBN Indian of the Year is the prime and the most plausible awards of the Country. The association is ready to respect and recognize the Indians whose endeavor stood tall in the year 2009. The CNN IBN Indian of the Year 2009 award was given to A R Rahman and Kamal Haasan by Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh yesterday. According to the PTI report, Academy Award winner A R Rahman won over the Indian of the Year in the Entertainment category from Amitabh Bachchan. Big B was voted for doing the role of a 13-year-old in Paa, and entertaining the nation for forty years now. Kamal Haasan received the Special Achievement Award form the CNN-IBN team for completing 50 years in cinema.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described A R Rahman's music as inspirational. Rahmans music is inspirational... When I heard Rahman in the White House, you cannot imagine the sense of joy and achievement..., Singh said, after conferring the award in New Delhi.
"It is a triumph for music. I hope it inspires more people and lessens the divide," said the Oscar winning music maestro, who was also given an award for entertainment. He said lessening the divide through music was his intention.
When asked what was it about his music that wowed the world Rahman said, "I don't know. I think the philosophy of music playing larger role, being selective and blessings of God."
The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar. Praising the maestro, the Prime Minister called him an "inspirational genius", saying "There is only one Panditji and he has been a role model and will be a role model".

Jr.NTR new film ‘Adurs’, an action-comedy, is gearing up for its big release soon. The film is being released in over 1000 screens across the world and has turned out to be a prestigious film for Jr.NTR. He is making a comeback on the big screen after almost 18 months; his previous film ‘Kantri’ was released way back in May, 2008. Nayanatara and Sheela are acting opposite Jr.NTR. Brahmanandam is playing an important role, while Jr.NTR himself will be seen in a dual role. ‘Adurs’ is being directed by V.V.Vinayak, who’s making a comeback after almost 2 years! This combination of Jr.NTR and V.V.Vinayak created a lot of buzz in the industry andthe film was destined to be a big budget venture. ‘Adurs’ was originally planned to be made with a budget of Rs.27 crores but for various reasons this budget overshot by almost Rs.9 crores. Industry circles are predicting that by the day of its release, the total cost of production and publicity could move upto Rs.36 crores which is way beyond the initial planned budget. The only reasonthe film wouldn’t have any problem on the day of its release is because it is NTR’s own production. Jr.NTR’s close friend, Vallabhaneni Vamsimohan is producing the film under ‘Vaishnavi Arts’ banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for this film, while Chota.K.Naidu is handling the cinematography. Let us wish and hope for its success so that Jr.NTR may realize his investment and much more. 
Venkatesh Trisha starrer ‘Namo Venkatesa’ is raking in huge money from all quarters even before its release. The latest news is that the distribution rights for Ceded territory have been sold for a whopping sum of Rs.4.25 crores. This amount also includes 40 prints for this region alone. This sort of price fordistribution rights has never been quoted before in Venkatesh’s career. Sources says that these fancy prices are being quoted because of a good amount of positive talk about the film and also Srinu Vytla, who has a great flair for comedy and overall family entertainment. Every One Know that the distribution rights for Nellore were sold for Rs.90 lakhs which is another record in Venkatesh’s career. Srinu Vytla is directing this film. Achanta Gopichand, Anil Sunkara and Achanta Ram are jointly producing this film under ‘14 Reels Entertainment’ banner and it is being presented by Suresh Productions. The film is also the most expensive in Venkatesh's career; it has been made with a budget of around Rs.25 crores. Brahmanandam is doing a full length role in this film. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film. The film will be released in January, 2010.

His latest magnum opus, ‘Avatar’ made with a budget of $300 million had a stunning weekend collection at the box office. The movie collected $232 million across the world including Rs. 22 crores in India over the weekend. ‘Avatar’ did amazingly well in Andhra Pradesh too. The film was released in English, Hindi and Telugu versions in the state. The initial reports suggest that the Telugu version of ‘Avatar’ has done better than the English version. The collections have been so good in the ‘A’ centres that trade pundits predict that it will cross thebox office of 2012. Geetha Arts had bought the rights for ‘Avatar’ for entire AP. With no big Telugu film releases in the next couple of weeks, ‘Avatar’ has become the trump card for its distributors. 
Two years after Chiru’s daughter tied the knot against his wishes, all is forgiven and forgotten Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi’ daughter Srija had tied the knot in true filmi style in 2007 — she had eloped with boyfriend Shirish Bharadwaj, married against her family’s wishes and sought police protection.
Two years later, the couple is on a vacation in Delhi with 17- month- old daughter Nivrithi whose birth helped improve relations between Srija and her parents.
“ When we remember that time now, we just laugh. I am relieved and happy that my relations with my parents have improved,” says a happy Srija.
She says it was only after Nivrithi’s birth that her mother and brother, popular actor Ram Charan Tej, came to the hospital to meet her.
“ Everything fell in place when my daughter was born on July 5 last year. Before that, everybody was in touch with us only over phone,” she adds.
It’s clear the couple has come a long way from their nightmarish experience in 2007.
Shirish and Srija had married on October 17 in Hyderabad at an Arya Samaj Mandir and rushed to Delhi for protection after receiving threats from Chiranjeevi’s fans and supporters. The superstar was against his daughter’s alliance with a Brahmin boy.
Srija moved the Delhi High Court saying her life was in danger and was granted police pro- tection on October 22. She had said in her plea that she feared a repeat of the infamous Rizwanur Rehman murder case.
Recalling those moments now, Shirish says it’s hard to believe how both of them had so much courage to take on Chiranjeevi who is considered “ God” in Andhra Pradesh.
“ It was inner strength and true love that made it possible. That time many people said I was doing all this at the behest of some politician. But we proved everybody wrong,” he adds.
The couple returned to Hyderabad soon after the court’s decision in 2007. According to them, they started a new life with the hope that someday Chiranjeevi would forgive them and accept their marriage.
“ When we visited market places, there were mixed reactions from people. Some used to praise us for our courage while others said I should not have upset my father,” Srija says.
Tollywood and Bollywood directors also turned up at the couple’s door during that period, offering to make films on their love story.
However, it was only after Nivrithi was born that the ice was broken with Chiru.
Shirish says: “ She was the first granddaughter in Srija’s family and her parents and relatives started meeting us again. Things became normal gradually.” Srija’s in- laws were supportive throughout the couple’s ordeal.
Shirish says his family ensured Srija never missed her parents.
When asked whether the couple has any plans to join politics, Srija says, “ I was never interested in politics and even advised my father not to join it.” Shirish, on the other hand, is quite keen on the idea and plans to grab any political opportunity if it presents itself in the future.
He currently has a business of his own and Srija is pursuing a chartered accountancy course.
Ravi teja is doing a new flick with Krishna Vamsi in that Ravi Teja will be playing an interesting role of a great-great-grandson of Sri KrishnaDevaryalu. This film titled as "Kandireega"."This one will be partly fantasy flick” Krishnavamsi announced. This film will be produced by Bellamkodna Suresh, it will begin its regular shoot from January 9, 2010. 
Legendary director K Vishwanath is directing a movie with Comedy hero Allari Naresh for this movie Music composes By Manishrma.In that movie Manjari playing the lead role, who acted in telugu movies "Siddhu From Seekakulam" and "Inkosaari". He’s now planning to make an extremely small budget film which will cost not more than Rs.75 lakhs. Rajamouli is said to be very excited about a concept and is willing to do whatever it takes to showcase it to all cinema aficionados. It is supposed to be a story from the point of view of a Fly. Rajamouli is not only planning to make it digitally but also willing to risk investing Rs.1 crore to make this film. Irrespective of the money he might make or loose he says it would give him scope to do something else apart from the formula commercial scripts. 
'Arundhati' Anushka has signed another heroine-oriented film in the meanwhile, which has been in the scripting stage for a long while now. Titled 'Panchakshari', the film is all set to go on floors on the 21st. Directed by senior director Samudra, the film is produced by Chandra, who was a makeup assistant to actor Nagarjuna.
