Avatar Shakes The Box Office across AP

James Cameron has repeated his magic once again. It’s been over 12 years since Titanic’s release, yet James Cameron’s name and fame hasn’t been forgotten across the world. His latest magnum opus, ‘Avatar’ made with a budget of $300 million had a stunning weekend collection at the box office. The movie collected $232 million across the world including Rs. 22 crores in India over the weekend. ‘Avatar’ did amazingly well in Andhra Pradesh too. The film was released in English, Hindi and Telugu versions in the state. The initial reports suggest that the Telugu version of ‘Avatar’ has done better than the English version. The collections have been so good in the ‘A’ centres that trade pundits predict that it will cross thebox office of 2012. Geetha Arts had bought the rights for ‘Avatar’ for entire AP. With no big Telugu film releases in the next couple of weeks, ‘Avatar’ has become the trump card for its distributors.
