Big B to hold special screening of Paa for Dilip Kumar

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is planning to organise a special screening of Paa for Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar, who will not be able to attend tonight’s star-studded premiere due to ill health.

Bachchan, 67, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the film’s premiere tonight is a resounding success and has invited a host of Bollywood celebrities including names like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, Hemamalini, Jeetendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

"Dilip Saheb is unwell as are Shammiji, Shashiji and Dharamji…but speaking to them after such a while was a joy and an accomplishment in itself," Bachchan wrote about his phone conversation with the veterans ahead of the event.

"Dilip Saheb gave his characteristic laugh when I told him I was playing Abhishek’s son…I would keep a separate trial for him where he does not have to worry about the crowd and the rush of the media," said Bachchan, who plays a 13-year-old child suffering from progeria in the movie, releasing tomorrow.

"Sunny and Bobby confirm they shall be there. Vinod Khanna calls in sends wishes for success. Hemaji acknowledges and will be there as will Jeetendra…and the list goes on," he added.

Bachchan was at the venue IMAX multiplex in suburban Wadala since wee hours today to check on the last minute preparation for the premiere.

"I have asked all the team to assemble by 1 am…Getting over 1600 people to follow instructions can be a
night mare," Bachchan said.

Expressing his anxiety, the megastar wrote that one of the most trying tasks in organizing an event, if it is an invited audience, is the allocation of seats.

"Where? Whom? When? Why? Just an endless flow of questions that keep changing their answers every few minutes. Dealing with each request, each preference, is a job most diplomats would find difficult to handle. The end result is a nightmare operation day in and day out, right to the very last minute," he said.(PTI)

A.R. Rahman to act in a Hollywood film

Oscar winner A.R. Rahman (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) for the first time will be seen in front of the camera in upcoming film SON OF A PREACHER MAN, about the life and times of Grammy winning singer-songwriter-producer PJ Morton.

Besides Rahman, other cast includes American Gospel musician Kirk Franklin (NORBIT), Grammy nominated American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard (LIFE ON A STICK), and producer Warryn Campbell (STOMP THE YARD). Shot in Atlanta and New Orleans in USA and London in United Kingdom, it will be released in 2010. Michael Akwesi Djaba (REASONABLE EXCUSE) is the director.

Rahman and Morton collaborated on Sajna song in recent Hollywood comedy COUPLES RETREAT.

Rahman, who has reportedly recorded sales of over 300 million, was called "Mozart of Madras’’ by Time magazine. Rahman sees music "as a way to connect to spirituality and embrace it" and for "creating harmony in troubled times".

Siddhartha is giving Bollywood director Chandan Arora a hard time with his unnecessary intervention in film making. Chandan Arora is making a film ‘Striker’ with Siddartha in the lead role. The film is based upon the real life story of a poor boy of Mumbai slums, who is mastered in Caroms game. Siddartha is playing the poor boy role in this film.

Siddartha wants his director to make some changes in the story and screen play of the film, for which director refused.
The alleged differences between the actor and the director are so many that the film has almost come to a standstill, say sources. “Siddharth wants things to happen his way, while Chandan is adamant about his ideas. There have been creative differences between the two. The chances of reconciliation seem slim,” said the source.

Finally Nayan is in for ‘Simha’

NBK’s upcoming film ‘Simha’ has completed 60% of its shoot. Balakrishna is romancing with three Tollywood heroines Nayanatara , Namitha and Sneha Ullal at a time in this film. This film is directed by Boyapati seenu and produced by Paruchuri seenu they thought that Nayan can justify the third heroine role, which need a graceful warrior looks. Nayan who joined the ‘Simha’ team later was also happy to know about these developments.

Producer said, “We have completed the major portion of the shooting at Hyderabad, and now planning to shoot the remaining at Vizag, Vizianagaram and Bobbili cities. We will continue till January 10th, with which we expect to complete talky part including three songs in that schedule. Again we will re start the next schedule after a week gap in the same locations and complete the remaining two songs. We are planning to release our film in coming April month.” Sai kumar, Ananda Barathi, KR Vijaya are playing key roles The music to the film is by the melody king Chakri.

Indo-American model-cum-actress Padma Lakshmi goes nude for a photo spread to be featured on cover of Page Six magazine. Padma Lakshmi strikes a pose bending both of her knees to cover the front part of her body while offering sharp look to the lens through her right shoulder.

Padma Lakshmi is pregnant, who refuses to reveal the father to her child. She insists upon the purity of the natural form and her love for the naked form. "I like me better naked. I tend to sleep in the nude. When you put clothes on, you immediately put a character on. When you don't have any clothes on, it's just you, raw, and you can't hide," says Padma Lakshmi.

Padma also discusses her pregnancy weight, divorce to husband Salman Rushdie and some other personal issues in the magazine.

Padma Lakshmi was married to Salman Rushdie, who is an award-winning author, from April 2004 to July 2007. In October this year, Padma had her representative publicly announcing that she is pregnant. Not much information is shared about her pregnancy though, leaving her due date and the identity of the baby's father in question.

My personal Review:::

As of we know today is the release of the awaited movie of Ravibabu's " " Amaravathi , This movie reflected the movie same as of ""Anasuya"" with that same cops who seems to be similar to foreign cops, one an idea of """hypnotism""" etc.... . Ravibabu's idea of thriller and comedy is so sensible that you will definitely feel them and also his way of taking the simple things which creates fear which is similar as of, in Anasuya movie the starting scene when the car passes off the sound of the car. Lemme just describe the characters of the movie "Tarakaranta" done his job well as villian in between "Gadde Sindhura" played the role of one of member of the police team(STF). sneha and Bhumika had small roles to play even they did well and Finally Ravibabu himself done a g8 job as a main Police officer.

Story :

Seenu (Tarakratna) is a physco and steals babies from the wombs of 9 month pregnant women. Venkat (Ravibabu) is a special task force police officer and is appointed to solve the mystery behind it. In this connection Venkat arrests Seenu. Even after his arrest, the stealing of babies continues. Latha (Sneha), the wife of Venkat is also a 9 month pregnant lady and even she is attacked to steal her baby. What connection does Latha have with the mystery and how Seenu is managing to steal babies in-spite of being in the custody and for whom Seenu is doing all this forms the rest of the story.


Highlights :
1) Sound effects in the movie were of the top notch.
2) The opening shot of Muthyalarevu gripped the audience very well.
3) RAvibabu's reason for the movie is again striking (Theme of the movie).


Negatives :
1) Monotonous scenes in the first half which bored the audience.
2) Predictable suspense and climax.
3) Story seems to be similar as of kind of Anasuya (Simple reson).

Ma final words::

Amaravathi is just a short film with good entertainment to people who like thrill and suspense and people like the music and the sound effects that had done max job in making the film....

Amaravathi Movie Review

Ravi babu starrer Amaravathi movie started with lots of violence and Tarak’s role in the movie is predictable. Bhoomika made audience laugh and she had a crazy charecter. The sound effects by Ethiraj is very good. Some scenes are very thrilling and it makes that we are watching a Hollywood movie.

Overall the movie is good and this type of story have never been explored in Tollywood Industry.

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston is set to share the secret of her stunning figure as the actress has teamed up with her Yoga instructor to launch a DVD workout.

The ’Friends’ star is so impressed with Mandy Ingber’s exercise sessions, she has endorsed her upcoming home workout disc, New York Post reported.

Aniston, 40, has filmed a personal introduction for Ingber’s Yogalosophy DVD and is set to host a launch party for her pal at the Sunset Towers hotel in Los Angeles.

"Mandy brought yoga into my life. This workout will change your body and your mind," Aniston says in the video message.

"Jen works out with Mandy up to five times a week, and they have become such great friends she even takes Mandy on vacation with her. So Jen was delighted to help launch her DVD," a source told the publication.(PTI)

Kareena Kapoor demanding 10 crores

Actress with an attitude Kareena Kapoor will soon become the highest paid woman in Bollywood.

Reports are that Bebo, who was just seen opposite real-life beau Saif Ali Khan in Kurbaan, has been offered a whopping Rs 10 crore to be a part of Golmaal 3.

According to reports, director Rohit Shetty, who is planning to launch the third Golmaal installment in April nexy year, and for that he is eager to sign Kareena, who was also seen in Golmaal Returns.

Kareena was apparently paid Rs 2.5 crore for Kambakkht Ishq and a little more for Golmaal Returns. Reports also suggest that the actress was paid Rs 7 crore for endorsing a snack brand.

If this deal comes through then Kareena will leave behind current highest paid actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who charges a whopping Rs 5 crore. According to sources, both Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif charge between Rs 3 and 5 crores.

Sources said that the hot bubbly actor Amrita Rao has rejected a Bollywood offer.All the industry guys got surprised with this stunning decision. She had almost compleated the talks about the film and there is a need of the lip scene, Amrita said no to the role because of it. “When Amrita learnt about the scene, she politely turned down the film. She was not comfortable with the idea of kissing on screen. Amrita has been replaced by Southern star Neha Sharma.”

Vishal’s new flick has many suprises

Vishal’s next film Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, it seems, has more surprises in store. For one, the actor’s role in the film isn’t that of an altruist. It has certain negative traits.

“You could say that I’m playing a role that could be considered anti-hero in a certain way,” the star disclosed at a press conference called to announce the status of the project, which is almost complete. The movie
will also have five heroines, with two of them making guest appearances.

“We have shot portions of one of the guest actresses. The portions of the other guest actress haven’t been shot as of now,” Vishal said, adding that the movie would hit the screens for Pongal.

“The audio will be released in the second week of December and the movie will be simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu on Pongal and Sankranthi days respectively. The film will be called Khiladi in Telugu,” he said.

The actor plays a playboy in the film that will have Tanushree Dutta, Sarah Jane and Neetu Chandra playing the three lead roles along with him. To a query on how many times he had proposed to girls in real life, the star replied in jest, “Oh! Several times. In fact, I said ‘I love you’ to a girl when I was in Standard II.”(TNN)
