Shimbu - Nayanatara in ‘Goa’

Director Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming film Goa has two hot stars Nayantara and Simbu. This film already includes a big star cast of Sneha, Piya, Juliana Fine, Jai, Vaibhav and Premji. Now the latest addition of Nayantara and Simbu’s special appearance has raised the expectations even higher. In this flick Simbu will be seen during the course of the film, Nayan would be seen during the climax part so both would be seen at different times.

Rajinikath’s ‘Robot’ to Touch 165 crore

Director shankar always does a big budget projects and he is certainly one of the untouched directors of Indian cinema. He is directing a Rajinikanth’s upcoming science-fiction ‘Endhiran’ (Robot in Telugu), which was thought to be made at a budget of about Rs 100 crore, seems to cost much more than estimated. It is said that the film may now exceed a massive budget of Rs 165 crore. This is undoubtedly the highest budget film ever made in the Indian cinema. The buzz is that the cost of one particular song in the film had reached Rs 30 crore.

‘Robot’ has south Indian superstar Rajinikanth romancing former miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Action king Arjun is said to play a key role in the film. J D Chakravarthy is playing the role of the villain for this magnum opus. The film is set for 2010 release. The films background score and music is composed by Oscar award winner A R Rahman.

Emaindi Naalo is ready for release

Emaindi Naalo, starring Sivaji,Archana, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the lead roles, has completed its shooting. A comedy entertainer set in the backdrop of a college; the film is directed by Rajendra Kumar and produced by Chegondi Haribabu. Gantadi Krishna is scoring the music. Camera is by Jayaram.This film is a comedy love story.

The story revolves three characters played by Sivaji, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Archana. Rajendra Prasad plays the role of Lord Krishna. Why Lord Krishna comes to college is the crux of the story. The film is all set to release soon.

Despite being praised by legends like Bhimsen Joshi and Dr Balamuralikrishna, he still continues to remain humble,” says the young composer, who is clearly in awe of his guru.

And guess what, this sincere sishya submits all his work for appraisal by his master. “I give him all my albums. He listens to them and gives me his feedback,” he reveals.

So, will we see his guru playing for his composition? “I definitely would love to, but I don’t have the courage to ask him,” admits the composer. “I want him to play for my composition. But I would like to make myself worthy for that,” reveals Devi.

Venkatesh to act in remake of Bollywood hit

Popular film maker and Sensor Board member, Thamma Reddy Bharadwaj's remarks against the Tollywood heroes that 'We have heroes but not real men' is creating flutters in the film industry. Thamma Reddy made these comments on Tollywood heroes for focussing on commercial films and neglecting sensible and thought provoking films. While some people are supporting Thamma Reddy, some are opinioning that he should re-think before making such comments.

Producer D. Suresh Babu was the one who found fault with Tammareddy's comments. He said that Tollywood heroes are ready to do sensible films and thought provoking films, if the directors approach them with good scripts. He opined that our heroes are much better than Bollywood heroes. He said that no one likes to take risk with their money. He listed some films like Swamyam krushi, Swarna Kamalam etc., and said that though they were good films they bombed at the box office. He said that Venkatesh is ready to act in the remake of Aamir Khan starrer 'Taare Zameen Par', if anyone brings the remake rights of that film.

Pravarakyudu to release on December 4

The film Pravarakyudu starring Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani is all set to hit screens on December 4th. The duo has earlier worked for Pellaina Kothalo. Priyamani is getting ready to set screens on fire once again with Pravarakyudu. It is said that the scenes involving Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani have come out really well. The shooting Nagarjuna's upcoming film is briskly getting progressed. Though the title Rummy was earlier considered for this film, the makers have decided to rename it with the title Mosagadu. The story of the film will be on the lines of gambling and playing cards. The film is directed by debutant Kiran. Sandeep Chowta composes music for the film. Sarai Veerraju releasing on November 27

The film Sarai Veerraju starring Ajay in the lead is slated to release on November 27th. DS Kannan is debuting as director with this film. He worked as an associate of Rajamouli and Krish. The man with midas touch, Dil Raju has bagged the theatrical exhibition rights of Sarai Veerraju for Nizam and Vizag. Dil Raju bagging the rights is sure to arose some curiosity, which helps the film to gain good opening collections.

Allu Arjun Arya 2 release postponed

The much-awaited film Arya 2 release has been postponed to November 27th. Though the produced Aditya Babu has earlier announced that the film will hit screens on November 25th. It didn't materialize due to various reasons. The film release will be delayed by two days.

However, the songs and the posters of Arya 2 has been a rage among youth. The promos have worked tremendously in increasing the curiosity.

Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli film title confirmed

Maverisk film maker SS Rajamouli will be directing superstar Mahesh Babu very soon. The title of this much-awaited film is confirmed as Samrat. This film would be produced by the man with midas touch, Dil Raju. Currently the ground work for this film is going on. The film is said to be a big budget extravaganza. Siddique, a director in malayalam industry is now making a debut by directing Nitin for his movie ’Maaro’ in which for the first time, Meera chopra is pairing with Nitin. Except a song all the shooting of the movie is compleated. Going to the script, Nitin will be seen as an IIT student in the film.

The story is about the guy who faces problems in his life and uses his brain. The audio and the film will be released in December. Mani Sharma is composing the music for this film. Srinivas and K.Sagar are jointly producing this film. Addressing the press meet, the producers said that Nitin’s role is tailor made for him. The film has love, action, comedy, suspense, entertainment according to the producers.

Sallu-Ash love story on reel now

Small-time filmmaker Javed Khan is all set to make a film that is said to be based on one of the most talked about love stories in Bollywood — that of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. The film titled Ajab Hai Ishq is gearing up to go on the floors soon.

Javed Khan, who is producing the film and also playing the lead role of Salman Khan in the film, says, “If a love story is depicted authentically and emotionally, the film will surely attract the audience. Ajab Hai Ishq is a love triangle. The story resembles the real life story of Ash and Sallu.”
In real life, the two actors may have gone their separate ways, but Javed will show a different version. “I want to send home the message that if you love someone, you should get married to her or him. Leaving your loved one in the lurch will not bring peace in your life.”
Interestingly, singer Mohammad Salamat, who recorded the title track of the film recently, had earlier sung the emotional number Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam from the Salman-Ash film by the same name.(DC)

Mahesh heroine semi nude photo shoot stopped by MNS

Actor Amrita Rao recently faced the wrath of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists. The incident occurred when Amrita Rao was in the midst of a photo-shoot for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Amrita was shooting for an ad campaign that talked about how people should clamp down on cruelty to animals.

The alleged MNS activists stormed the sets and disrupted the shoot because they had information that the actress was doing a semi-nude photo session. They said they had information that the actor was doing the photo session wearing hardly anything. They thought it was a sleazy shoot.

"Strangely, the people thought that the shoot was being done by Amrita Arora. However, the crew spoke to the MNS activists and explained to them the concept of the shoot. The people also saw that Amrita was decently dressed. Thankfully, they understood that Amrita was doing this for charity and left the sets after apologising," said a source.

Amrita said, "It was a scary incident. Suddenly a few men barged onto the sets and created a scene. What's even stranger is that the people thought it was Amrita Arora. She is pregnant, so how on earth could she be doing an ad campaign?"

After a pause, she added, "I decide what I want to endorse and what I want to wear as long as it is in sync with a standard mode of conduct."

Heroine faints at shooting spot

Multi-tasking and the urge to stay constantly in limelight seem to be taking a toll on the frail health of the actresses. Sindhu Menon is the next in line to suffer ill health due to hectic work schedule & too much work pressure. Sindhu Menon fainted on the sets of Telugu film Subhadra in Hyderabad. The unit members were shocked when the actress suddenly fainted at the shooting spot. She was immediately rushed to a hospital.

"I am clueless what happened to me all of a sudden. I was in a hospital when I woke up. Thank God, I am alright now," says the actress.

However, the doctors clarified that her condition is stable and advised the actress to be on rest for few days.

Sexy heroine requests producer to edit her kissing scene

Real life lovers Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan played lead roles in Karan Johar's upcoming film Kurbaan. The film has some steamy scenes of the lead actors. However, Aarti Chabria has denied the reports and clarified that she never met Headley.

"I stay a few blocks away from Shyam Nivas for the last 13 years and I'm going to Moksh gym for last four and half years, but does not know Rahul Bhatt or Headley. I have never met this man (Headley). I didn't even known that Rahul Bhatt was working out in the same gymnasium with the man," she said.

Superstar blames Bollywood for that!

It has been a common complaint of movie industry down south that Bollywood gets all the attention. The southern industry superstars like Kamal Haasan, are now demanding equal status for its cinema.

"We can't have a stand off here saying whose fault it is or how sad I feel. If we feel sad we will do something about it. We are trying to be the change we want to see. We are here to prove that we are all one, there are no parochial borders for entertainment industry. Not even international ones," Says Kamal Haasan.

The Southern industry led by Kamal Haasan is demanding equal status for its cinema the same as Bollywood. Compared to Bollywood the South churns out double the number of films with as much technical competence. The canvas much more eager to lend itself to contemporary socio-political issues. Yet on the international stage it's Bollywood which is still considered the brand ambassador of Indian cinema. So the Southern cinema wants more representation in the international and Indian festival and awards circuit.

Puri Jagannath heroine linked with terrorists

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut has been linked with Lashkar-e-toiba terrorist David Headley. However, the sexy siren has threatened to take legal action against those who are spreading rumours about her link with Lashkar-e-toiba terrorist David Headley. Raising serious objection to the news report being circulated in the media, Kangna says that she has never met nor spoken to David Headley ever.

"All these reports, which are running in Indian news channels, are totally baseless. I have never met Rahul Bhatt. All those who are dragging my name into the whole episode will have to face legal consequences. Those people who are trying to malign my name don't have any proof at all," said Kangna.

Kangna also said that no investigating agency has informed any news channel about her role or link with David Headley or Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul Bhatt.

First Look : Paritala Ravi and Sunitha in Raktha Charitra

Ace director Ramgopal Varma's upcoming film Raktha Charitra shoot is briskly getting progressed. The film is based on faction leader Paritala Ravi's life history. Raktha Charitra was inspired from the real life incidents of two rival groups. RGV guaranteed that the film based on the faction backdrop will have its realistic treatment.

Vivek Oberoi portrays the role of Paritala Ravi and Surya is doing the role of Maddalcheruvu Suri in all the version(Hindi, Tamil and Telugu). Radhika Apte has been casted for the role of Paritala Sunitha. Mohan Babu plays the role of Legendary NTR in Telugu version and Shatrughan Simha in Hindi version. Manisharma composes music for this film.

Raktha Charitra is planned to be made in two parts. Both the parts are scheduled to release in the summer 2010, with just one week gap.

Vishal follows Rajinikanth

Hero vishal had made great movies like ’Pandem Kodi’, ’Salute’. He had also made many movies but all of them has not been up to the mark. He is keeping all his efforts on the movie ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ in Tamil to make it a hit movie.

Meanwhile vishal’s family sent him to Manasarovar in Himalayas to a holy trip. He had visited that place and back home now.It was instructed by one of the astrologer. Vishal looks fresh and energetic after returning.

When asked about this Vishal said, “I’ve to say that I am peaceful at mind and soul now. Now I know why Rajini Sir goes to Himalayas often. One should go to Himalayas at least once in their life time. The ranges of Himalayas crushes human ego. Failure and Success will look the same.”

So, we can say that vishal is a deciple in the path of Rajinikanth.

Magallu leni Tollywood

Producer and Director Tammareddy Bharadwaja is known for his frankness in the field. Everybody in the Industry calls him ’Annayya’(Big Brother). Today he made a controversial statement at press meet of on going Children’s Film Festival in Hyderabad .He said that there are no magallu (real men) among our Tollywood heroes. When asked why our heroes don’t come forward to do films like Taare Zameen Par, he retorted: “ Mana Herollo Magallu Leru..”. So that only we are not making the good movies.Is really tollywood not have the powerful heroes,if have then why they are not coming up with different roles and different new concepts.

Hollywood film turned as threat to superstars

Roland Emmerich's Hollywood disaster epic 2012, is doing roaring business at the Indian box office. 2012 has grossed over Rs.19 crore in its opening weekend in India. 2012 was released simultaneously in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across 715 screens with 676 prints.

As per trade reports, 2012 has taken an incredible 90 to 95% opening in 25 screens in Kerala just like a Malayalam superstar film. It even crossed the collections of Mohanlal and Mammooty film in first week. It is expected to turn out to be one of the all time hits in Kerala. This Hollywood film has now turned as a threat to Malayalam superstars Mammooty and Mohanlal.

The film has shown high potential for repeat viewing. The film has performed exceedingly well in both metros as well as smaller centres appealing to a large range of audiences, including families who are drawn to the personal family storyline. It looks unbeatable for the coming weeks in the wake of sustained marketing and strong word-of-mouth.

Star hero turns producer

Versatile actor Vikram has launched his own production house to produce a Tamil film featuring newcomers. Vikram roped sensational director Sasikumar of Subramaniapuram(Ananthapuram in Telugu) fame to direct the first film on his banner.

"I have floated my own banner and our first untitled venture will be directed by Sasikumar. After watching Subramaniapuram, I wanted to do a film with Sasi. I readthe script and found it fantastic. I'm sure it would turn out to be asignature Sasikumar film. The film will feature newcomers," said Vikram.

Asked whether he would do a cameo in this film.

"I would love to make an Alfred Hitchcock type appearance, but it will be Sasi's call," said Vikram.

Vikram recently completed the shooting of Mani Rathnam's film Raavan. Vikram is presently shooting for Selvaraghavan film. Colors Swathi paired opposite Vikram in this romantic entertainer.

Tollywood lacks gutsy hero like him!!!

Popular film maker and Sensor Board member, Thamma Reddy Bharadwaj lashed out at Tollywood heroes for focussing on commercial films and neglecting sensible and thought provoking films. Aamir Khan's critically acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par was screened at children's film festival Today. Thamma Reddy Bharadwaj showered praises on Aamir Khan and also critisized Tollywood heroes. He opined that no hero in Tollywood would match Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan has made sensible films and thought provoking films over the past few years.

Om Shanti logo launched

The logo of Three Angels Studio's second film Om Shanti was launched at Annapurna Studios Today, November 18th. The film stars Navadeep, Nikhil, Kajal, Bindu Madhavi and Aditi Sharma in the lead. The young film maker Seshu Priyanka Chalasani(D/o popular film maker C Ashwini Dutt) who introduced talented director Chaitanya Dantuluri with Baanam is now getting ready to introduce another new talent to the film industry. Prakash Dantuluri is making his debut as director with Om Shanti. Music Maestro Ilayaraja is composing music for this film. The music launch of Om Shanti is planned on November 27th and the film is expected to hit screens in the second half of December.
