K Balachandar's 'Manadhil Urudhi Vendum' marked her entry into film. Now, her re-entry too is with a movie by the veteran's production company Kavithalaya. She is Lalithakumari, wife of south India's favourite villain Prakash Raj. The younger sister of 'Disco' Shanthi, who bid adieu to acting after marrying Prakash Raj, will be seen in a pivotal role in 'Muriyadi'.
Produced by Kavithalaya, the film directed by Selva will have Ganesh Venkatraman and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Lalithakumari will act opposite Sathyaraj in a comedy role.
"I am happy and proud that my re-entry into films is also with a film produced by Balachandar sir. I feel that there is a need for comedy actresses in Tamil cinema, as Kovai Sarala is busy with projects in other languages. I will continue acting in such roles," she says. It is to be noted that Lalithakumari and Prakash Raj appeared in a family court in Chennai on Friday seeking divorce with mutual consent. The couple has two daughters.
