Allu Arjun Varudu shooting nearing completion

The shooting of Allu Arjun-Guna Sekhar film Varudu is briskly getting progressed. Except for a couple of songs and a fight sequence, the entire shooting has been wrapped up. A new heroine is being introduced through this movie. Tamil hero Arya is the villian in this film. Around 100 real families will be acting in this movie. All of them were selected six months before the movie launch and trained in an acting workshop. Music of the film is by Mani Sharma, Cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and stunts is by Peter Hein.

Allu Arjun is currently busy working for two projects - Vedam and Varudu.

Jr.NTR Adurs audio launch on December 3

The audio launch of the film Adurs starring Jr.NTR and Nayantara in the lead is planned in grandeur on December 3rd. Sheela plays the second female lead. The much-awaited film Arya 2 starring Allu Arjun in the lead is a visual treat to watch, but few flaws in its narration makes it an average entertainer.
Story:

Arya(Allu Arjun) and Ajay(Navadeep) are childhood friend and both of them leads the life of an orphan. On one fateful day a rich couple adopts Ajay. Ajay grows as a rich guy and later he starts a software company. Arya joins his company as an employee. Geetha(Kajal) is the new employee of the company. Both Arya and Ajay falls in love with Geetha. Whom does Geetha choose as her lover forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Allu Arjun: He is an apt choice to the role of Arya. He has done complete justice to his role. He sports a new look for this film. His costumes are trendy. He excels in dances. His dance movements in the film are definitely one of the best in his career. It's a treat to watch him in songs.

Kajal: She looks beautiful. She plays the role of a confused girl about love in a convinsing way.

Navadeep comes up with a neat performance. Shraddha Das adds to the glamour quotient of the film. Brahmanandam comedy track is hilarious. Mukesh Rushi, Shayaji Shinde and Ajay are Okay.

Technical Departments:

Cinematography is of top notch. Editing could have been better. Music is excellent. The picturization and placement of songs is brilliant. Direction by Sukumar is good. Production values of the film are grand. Dialogues are good.

Analysis: Allu Arjun's characterization is a big setback to Arya 2. Sometimes he acts as a psycho and sometimes as a obsessive lover, which leaves the audience in a confused state. First half of the film is Okay. Second half is better, when compared to first half.

Verdict: Fails to live-up to the expectations. But, it's definitely worth watching once for its stylish making.

Releasing Today: Allu Arjun's 'Arya-2'

The time has come for the most talked about movie of the season to take the litmus test. We are talking about ‘Arya-2’ and this has stylish star Allu Arjun in the lead and he is pairing up with the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal. There is also the second pair of Navadeep along with the hot and sexy Shraddha Das.

The film is directed by Sukumar while Aditya Babu is the producer. Already, the audio has become a chartbuster and the song ‘Ringa Ringa…’ has been creating a mania. The tunes composed by Devisri Prasad have worked really well for the movie and the expectations are high on this one.

MJ’s sex abuse victim clears his name

The alleged abuse victim at the centre of Michael Jackson 1993 molestation scandal has cleared the late star’s name by saying the King of Pop ‘never touched’ him, the singer’s brother Jermaine has revealed.

Jordan Chandler was 13 when his father Evan claimed that Jackson had molested his son.

Jackson was given a clean chit in the court and settled the dispute with the Chandler family and its legal team with a payoff worth 22 million dollars.

Jordan, now 29, was said to have spoken about the case since Jackson’’s death, confessing the superstar never molested him, it was claimed.

Jermaine further believed that Jordan’’s dad Evan committed suicide earlier this month over his guilt of falsely accusing the Thriller hitmaker.

"From the ’'93 case, they were accusing him (Jackson) of just the most horrible things,” Contactmusic quoted Jermaine as saying.

“This kid’’s father has committed suicide because he just couldn’'t take it and now the kid has come forward and said Michael never touched him," he added.

The body of 56-year-old Evan Chandler was found with a single gunshot to his head with the gun still in his hand. Officials ruled his death a suicide.(ANI)

Shah Rukh is funny: Amitabh

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says Shah Rukh Khan left him in a jovial mood after the latter called him to confirm his presence at the premiere of upcoming film "Paa".

"Shah Rukh has remained with me in the late afternoon. He is a very funny man and shakes me into joviality when I inform him about the premiere and his absolute presence there. He tells me, ’He is already there, black suited and with anticipation of seeing ’Paa’," Amitabh posted on his blog. "Aamir too communicates today and confirms his presence," he added.

The cast and crew of "Paa" - including Amitabh, Abhishek and director R. Balakrishnan have major plans for the film’s premiere Dec 3 in Mumbai. Amitabh plays a 12-year-old progeria patient in "Paa" and he had to stick on several pieces of specially crafted clay to get the right look for the movie. The disease causes premature ageing among children.

International make-up artist Stephan Dupuis designed Big B’s look and the megastar had to sit for five-six hours for the make-up. The 67-year-old says he is now anxious about how the audience and critics will react to the film. "Slowly but surely the jig saw puzzle will begin to unfold. The test of all our hours and hours of effort at the film shall now be up for scrutiny. And within two hours and 14 minutes the verdict shall be passed. Once passed, shall remain passed. Actor’s suicide is in fact a murder

Actor Kunal, who had acted in telugu films like "Premikula Roju" and in Tamil Punnagai Poove, was found hanging at his flat in Mumbai on February 7th 2008. Initially, it was considered to be a suicide. But the police reopened the case on the court’s directive to investigate the circumstances leading to the death.

The investigation was ordered based on the petition filed by the actor’s father who alleged that Kunal’s body bore marks indicating that he could have been murdered. The police have now arrested Bollywood starlet Lavina Bhatia, who was with Kunal at the time of his mysterious death. Police sources say that Lavina is the main suspect in the case.

Prabhu Deva to remake Gilli with Abhishek

After his Wanted with Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva is one of the sought-after makers in Bollywood. The choreographer-turned-director is already mooting his next big venture. While his maiden venture in Hindi was a remake of his own directorial Pokkiri (which itself was the remake version of Telugu blockbuster Pokiri), the second one is also a remake. In 2008, he set up shop in Bengali Market, unpacked his own razor, and turned barber for a day to give Ghajini haircuts to Dilliwallahs. And now, before the release of 3 Idiots, a movie about three post-grads that’s based on Chetan Bhagat’s book Five Point Someone, Aamir and the cast of the film are coming to Sri Ram College of Commerce in DU today.

Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan are accompanying him, and they’re going to be interacting with college students. Plus, says Aamir’s representative, the idea is to let mediapersons preview a song that’s going to be released in theatrical trailers this week – a college anthem called Sunshine.

Aamir and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer of the film, wanted to hold the preview in DU because they’re both “very attached to the univ,” according to the rep. “Aamir shot for RDB here, so he’s got a special attachment to DU, and Vidhu was once a student here and stayed at Jubilee Hall,” said the rep. Prabhas- Kajal starrer ’Darling’ is directed by Karunakaran with Tholiprema, Ullasanga Utsahanga fame.Bogavalli Prasad is producing the film under Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra banner. This is Bogavalli Prasad’s second film with Prabhas. His earlier film was Chatrapathi.Darling is scheduled to release in March of 2010.

Meanwhile ’Darling’ movie overseas rights have been acquired by Reliance Movies. Reliance movies is trying to enter US telugu film distribution market for a long time. Now this organization is going to buy few more popular telugu movies and distribute them.

Big stars make their votes count

Though the overall voter turnout for the GHMC polls on Monday was poor, Tollywood stars turned up in large numbers to cast their votes.

The PR chief, Mr K. Chiranjeevi, who came with his son Ram Charan Tej and other family members, cast his vote at the Obullreddy school in Jubilee Hills. Film-maker Allu Aravind, his son Allu Arjun, actors Pavan Kalyan, Krishna, Srihari, Nagarjuna, Amala, Balakrishna and his wife,director Rajamouli, music director M.M. Keeravani cast their votes at the BSNL office polling booth in Jubilee Hills.

Film-makers D. Ramanaidu, Kodi Ramakrishna, M.S. Reddy, actors Venkatesh, Babu Mohan, producer Suresh Babu, his actor son Rana, veteran director K. Raghavendar Rao, music composer Vandemataram Srinivas, lyricists Paruchuri brothers and other actors cast their vote in the Filmnagar Cultural Club. Tennis star Sania Mirza too cast her vote along with her parents at the Filmnagar Cultural Club.

Meanwhile, actor Junior NTR cast his vote at St. Ann’s College in Mehdipatnam.

“Elected representatives change the way we live. It is imperative for everyone to vote” said actor Nagarjuna after casting his vote.

Interestingly, Mr Chiranjeevi said people are perhaps frustrated with the politicians and that is why have not turned up to vote.

Of the 904 votes at BSNL office polling booth in Jubilee Hills, about 270 votes were from people belonging to the film industry. Of the 2,105 votes cast at Filmnagar Cultural Club, about 595 were from Tollywood personalities.(DC)

Jr NTR in Remake Ramudu-Bheemudu?

he famous producer, Dr Ramanaidu said on an interview to a TV channel that he would remake NTR’s ’Ramudu-Bheemudu’. He told that he had asked Jr NTR and got a positive response from the Young Tiger.

He also said that he is on plans to remake Dr. Akkineni Nageswar Rao’s ’Prem Nagar’. The news is that RamaNaidu’s first film is ’Ramudu-Bheemudu’ and his first biggest hit is ’Prem Nagar’.

Sources said that the script work is going on and finalised soon. Lets hope we can see NTR’s ’Ramudu-Bheemudu’ again.

Allu Arjun Arya 2 got censored

The much-awaited film of Allu Arjun starrer Arya 2 got censored on Monday and the film has obtained a U/A certificate. Though there was a controversy regarding the popular 'Ringa Ringa ...' song over using obscene content as lyrics, the censor board cleared it. The runtime of the film is said to be 2 hours 35 minutes.

The audio of the film which got released recently has got tremendous response. 'Ringa Ringa ....' has begun to rule the roost and it has raced to the top in the chartbusters.

Arya 2 is all set to hit screens on November 27th worldwide. Kajal is the female lead of the film. Sukumar, who directed the original is directing this movie too. Navadeep and Shraddha Das are doing supporting roles in this film. Music of the film is by Devi Sri Prasad. Nag Chaitanyas film for Sankranthi

It is official that Nag Chaitanya's second film will be releasing for Sankranthi (January 2010). As is already known, the film marks the coming together of Telugu makers with a brilliant Tamil director. Produced by Manjula and Sanjay Swaroop and presented by Superstar Krishna, the film was tentatively titled Natho Raa but looks like it is not final.

On the occasion of Chaitanya's birthday on the 23rd of November, the producers released some stills to the media. It is a prestigious project not only for Manjula, who is producing a film after Pokiri, but also for the young star who needs to live up to the expectations of the audience.

It seems that it is a sensitive love story. In the words of its director Gautam Menon, this one is a beautiful love story. He also predicts that Nag will emerge as a bigger star in the coming days.

Fresh, he has announced a film with 81 new artistes and the film is titled Young India. As the title indicates, the artistes are all young and notably, the girls are all from Andhra Pradesh. With this film, Dasari wants to tell his colleagues in the Telugu film industry that Telugu girls can also be roped in as female leads.

Produced by Siri India (Pvt) Ltd, the film is a message-oriented one and will be extensively shot in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai. Except for 5 days when Dasari will attend the Parliament sessions, the film will be shot at a stretch for 60 days.

Young India is the veteran's 149th film; so you can imagine the hype around it. Also, his staunch loyalist Dr. Mohan Babu has given the first clap, while Raviraja Pinishetty switched on.

A passionate speaker, Dasari was at it again to explain the rationale and idea behind Young India. "Human resources in India are being used by countries like the US and the UK.
