People are wondering to know what is happening behind MAA TV and
TV9. MAA TV is owned by Nagarajuna and also many say that Chiranjeevi
has got huge shares in that. But the rights of ‘Star Night’ have gone
for TV9. Earlier to this even the rights of transmitting South Scope
Style Awards has gone for same channel. MAA TV still rolls the old
programs like ‘Vajrostavalu’ and Chiranjeevi’s ‘Padambhushan’
felicitation even now. Why the rights are being given for MAA TV in
recent times?
These questions are being answered in assumptions by many. Some say
that Chiru and Nag expect money flow into their pockets than letting
that out. Hence they have sold the rights instead of buying. And it is
dry time in market due to recession where the sponsors wouldn’t tend to
pay big sums. So it is also hard to get the money back from sponsors
when this program was bought.
On the other hand TV9 is very aggressive these days and stepped into
entertainment scenario to improve its TRP that was affected by
mushroomed channels those are highly competitive. That’s the reason
Star Night was aired on TV9, say sources.
To conclude, it is observed that a skit was played by Venu that goes
as a satire on TV9. Puri Jagannath made Neninthey and created his own
character as ‘Idli Viswanath’. Similarly TV9 aired the program and it
has also shown a satire on itself. The skit with dog-story is very
famous long ago as it was the rampantly forwarded email from about a
year.
