Rana’s Leader shooting stalled by Telangana agitators
Daggubati Rana’s leader film under the direction of Shekhar Kammula is in the final stage of shooting and that is currently taking place at Godhavarkani OCP3 in Karimnagar district. Some of the Telangana agitators from the Singareni mine area are tried to stall the shooting of that movie by attacking the unit. When hero Rana interfered that he never objected the cause of Telangana, they withdrew their agitation. And asked the hero to say Jai Telangana to which hero Rana did the same and the shooting have begun again this morning (Monday, January 04, 2010).This movie has completed the censor recently and it is going to release soon.
Shah Rukh Khan joins Twitter
After Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, now Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has joined social networking site Twitter."Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.
"Thanks everyone, this is really sweet…didn’t expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all," he added.
The superstar was hardly seen on big screen in 2009 except in Billu, and explaining the reason behind his absence, he wrote: "Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more… the shoulder feels strong and so do I."
In February last year, Shah Rukh underwent an arthroscopic surgery for acute pain in his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai.
He is now gearing up for the release of his much-talked about film My Name Is Khan which also stars Kajol.
Releasing February 12, the film’s story revolves around Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh) who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. Rizwan falls in love with a single mother Mandira (Kajol) who lives in San Francisco. Rizwan is detained by authorities at Los Angeles International Airport, mistaking his disability for "suspicious" behaviour.
Right now Shah Rukh is enjoying his holiday with wife and children.
"Kids and life calling…watching Tim Burton’s ’9’ (animated fantasy film directed by Shane Acker) with them…last holiday…so up late…catch up later…," he wrote in his latest posting.(IANS)

Producer DVV Danayya announced that they are planning to release the movie on 26th March.

Global faculty for Rahman’s school
A R Rahmans K M Conservatory in Chennai is getting bigger. The school for music will have international faculty, in a bid to give the students global exposure of music. Harpist Alison Maggart, percussionist Michael Lindsey, soprano Kavita Baliga, pianists Andrew Thordahl and Das Daniel, violinists Joshua Pollack and George Philips and cellist Ellid Martin will form part of the schools faculty team.
Founded by Rahman, the aim of K M Conservatory is to fulfill the dreams of the Mozart of Madras- taking music to the younger generation and producing world class musicians.
Apart from students who are learning music by paying fees, the school also teaches free of cost music lessons to students from the schools run by the Corporation of Chennai. It is planning to admit more students in the future, sources close to Rahman say.

Namo Venkatesa Audio release on 5th
Sankranthi blockbuster release of Victory Venkatesh’s Namo Venkatesa is complete family entertainer. This comedy oriented Movie ‘Namo Venkatesa’ directed by Srinu Vaitla is all set to hit screens on January 14th.The female Lead of this Movie is Trisha. This much anticipated entertainer produced under 14 Reels Entertainment banner is going to have its audio release function on January 5. Devisri Prasad rendered the music. So his fans can expect yet another interesting album in three more days. The last song which has to be canned will be done at Thailand from January 3rd onwards. Suresh Productions is going to present the film.The film is slated for a Sankranthi release and the audio release was planned on the 5th. Though there was no indication from the producers earlier that the launch function will be held in Bangkok, the occasion seems to have been advanced by two days and venue located in a different country.
